I finally decided to try out the Baby Club at Everyman, Maida Vale and went to see Molly’s Game this week. I was a bit hesitant as wasn’t sure whether she’d let me enjoy any of it but I’m so glad I gave it a go! The Baby Club in Maida Vale’s cinema is on Wednesdays and I’ll definitely go again soon. Sleeeeeeeep
Are all mums obsessed with their babies’/kids’ sleep? That’s the only way I can describe it for myself – obsession. Continue reading “Sleeeeeeeep”
No longer a newborn!
We’ve survived the fourth trimester! I can’t believe I’m saying this but it’s gone incredibly fast even if each day has felt like an eternity. Continue reading “No longer a newborn!”
I’m a mum…
Our little miracle was born exactly on her due date. I’m glad someone’s in control here… and I do appreciate her punctuality, a good quality I hope she will keep 😊. She’s definitely calling the shots here now by taking over our lives and the whole responsibility still scares me and I feel I’m being challenged on a whole new level. Continue reading “I’m a mum…”
A few funny, silly or downright rude things I’ve heard during my pregnancy
“Will you have another one?”
What I wanted to say – “None of your bloody business.”
What I actually said – “I’m still pregnant! Let me push this one out first and see how we get on with it!”

Nearly at the end of my pregnancy…
The out of office message is on. Everything I know has been brain dumped to my replacement. I’m on maternity leave and it’s such a surreal feeling! Due date is in three weeks’ time and I hope I’ll get to enjoy quite a few lie-ins and plenty of rest. Continue reading “Nearly at the end of my pregnancy…”
Maternity wardrobe
“I don’t want to spend a lot on maternity clothes”, she said during the 1st and 2nd trimester. How naive… Continue reading “Maternity wardrobe”
John Lewis’s nursery consultation
This Monday I went to a free two-hour consultation with one of John Lewis’s nursery advisors on Oxford Street. They are trained as sales staff (as they should be) and can recommend a long list of things that you may not actually need in the end but I found it really useful and only took a few things with a pinch of salt. Continue reading “John Lewis’s nursery consultation”
Endometriosis affected my fertility
I’ve been wanting to write about this for a long time but since infertility is such a personal topic I’ve kept quiet. However since we made it public a few months ago that we’re expecting I’ve been wanting to write and share my own story/fertility journey as well. So, no, I’m definitely not infertile but after years of trying I did begin to wonder… When on 2016 Christmas Day morning I presented my husband with a positive pregnancy test I was dumbfounded. Not ecstatic as I would have expected but in complete denial, I just couldn’t believe it had actually happened to us!

Pregnancy cravings – the weird and wonderful!
The cravings have actually been on a relatively normal side for me. Luckily I’ve had no sickness, just mild nausea in the evenings, and a significant drop in appetite overall. I’ve never been a big eater and prefer small meals but now, while being pregnant, I find it really difficult to finish my dinners. My husband finishes them for me and he’s probably growing with me too! 🙁 Continue reading “Pregnancy cravings – the weird and wonderful!”
