She’s only 13 months old and already suffering from tonsillitis! She had a cold more than a week ago but was feeling and looking well last week on Wednesday when I took her swimming. Massive mum guilt here because the next day she looked and felt miserable. Very clingy, wanted to be held and cuddled all the awake times. It reminded me of the newborn days when I found it hard to put her down as she’d start crying soon after. Continue reading “Our struggle with tonsillitis”

Water wobbles – tips to help toddlers with water anxiety
We’ve been swimming with Water Babies since she was 11 weeks old and it’s been one of the baby/toddler activities that I used to look forward to the most. Used to… When she turned one she completely changed in the water – she is clingy, going underwater scares her, pretty much everything that we were able to do previously, she has a problem with. She still loves bath time so it didn’t make any sense until our instructor explained the water wobbles. Continue reading “Water wobbles – tips to help toddlers with water anxiety”
Our cat taught me mindfulness
London is hectic and noisy and a couple of years ago it really started to affect me. I was going through some stressful times back then, I was battling with infertility and eventually diagnosed with endometriosis. I was looking for ways to calm and ground myself. I took up running, yoga, and concentrated on blogging/writing about my thoughts, but also meditation and I started figuring out what mindfulness was. And who helped me the most? Our cat! Another one on sleep 😴 💤
And the lack of it… Once you get used to better sleep and they start waking up frequently again…
I’m posting this when she’s already 5 months old but the messy month of January just didn’t allow me to relax, sit down and finish this blog post… ☹️. Continue reading “Another one on sleep 😴 💤”
I’m a mum…
Our little miracle was born exactly on her due date. I’m glad someone’s in control here… and I do appreciate her punctuality, a good quality I hope she will keep 😊. She’s definitely calling the shots here now by taking over our lives and the whole responsibility still scares me and I feel I’m being challenged on a whole new level. Continue reading “I’m a mum…”
Maternity wardrobe
“I don’t want to spend a lot on maternity clothes”, she said during the 1st and 2nd trimester. How naive… Continue reading “Maternity wardrobe”
One year of blogging
A year ago I set up my lifestyle blog and if I’m totally honest, I didn’t have a plan. A strategy. A content calendar. What kind of marketer am I?! 🙂 But perhaps because I spend a lot of time planning and strategising in Excel at work that I felt, no, my blog doesn’t need a strict posting schedule. For once, I’ll just take a really laid back approach to this. So, I think I really did. Which is why this will be more my reflection of the past year and less about giving advice for people who want to start blogging. I’m not here to give someone the ABCs of lifestyle blogging because I’m no expert either. Just do what feels right! ❤ Continue reading “One year of blogging”
