Innocently Sweet – vegan dessert recipe book

I’m proud that a friend of mine, Chantal, has written this book because like most people (probably like you too), she loves desserts! 🙂 But it was driving her crazy that desserts always had to be naughty! So she wrote it with some educational material to begin with and included 34 amazing vegan recipes that are every spoonful nourishing and not at all guilty! Isn’t it great when you can have a treat that is not followed but a guilt trip down weight gain lane?

I’m also delighted to mention that some of the photos used in this book are taken by my husband Marc Mordant Photography. Continue reading “Innocently Sweet – vegan dessert recipe book”

Luxury pyjamas by The Reach London

Pyjama or not pyjama? Perhaps not during summer but winter is coming… Even if it promises up to 31 degrees in London next week 🙂 but soon it’s time to cosy up in something comfy! When The Reach London contacted me about their Kickstarter campaign asking for support in launching a new luxury pyjama collection, I must say I was very keen to collaborate with them.

Lanzarote – the island of black sand and so much more!

I finally got around to organising all the holiday photos on my phone! About a month ago we had the pleasure of staying at our friends’ villa in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. In return, Marc did some bump and family photography ;).

It was such an amazing week off! I had no idea Lanzarote had that kind of scenery. From black volcanic rock fields, black sand, red mountains to bright blue ocean and golden yellow beaches. This island has colour and such diversity: volcanoes (Timanfaya National Park), vineyards placed on the foot of the black hills, salt mines (Janubio), irresistible sunsets, caves (Cueva de los Verdes), cute fishing villages dotted around and some of the most scenic beaches I’ve ever seen (Playa de Papagayo). Staycation in the UK

Summer couldn’t come fast enough this year! This is my first spring in the UK when the sun is taking its longest to come out and warm up the pale limbs that have been covered up for the whole winter. To be fair, it wasn’t too long ago when we were enjoying a trip of a lifetime in amazing South Africa, our honeymoon in fact, and the photo above is me frolicking on a beach somewhere on the Garden Route. November seems like ages ago… A few of my friends have already been on their hot sunny holidays abroad and I’m slowly losing my patience here and cannot wait until I can start wearing everything in my summer wardrobe.

After an eventful 2014 with getting married and honeymooning we decided to have a low-key holiday at home, a staycation in July with a rental car! How glamorous but I’m so excited! 😉 Destinations on our route include Cotswolds and Cornwall (never been before). We will be staying in a gorgeous B&B whilst in Cornwall, Trevose Harbour House, and I will definitely be blogging about it after. All we need is dry and warm enough weather and I’ll be happy and if we get a day on the beach that would be a great bonus. Continue reading “Staycation in the UK”

Why I like to sweat every now and then

I think by nature I’m lazy. I’m not a strong believer of star sign characteristics but if there is anything that truly speaks about Tauruses, then in my case, it’s laziness or is it more to do with comfort-loving? Apparently I won’t move a muscle till I’m motivated to get up and work ;). It’s not actually true but what I did notice a long time ago when I gave up fencing is that if I wasn’t forced I wouldn’t do any sports. That lasted for a while and mind you, what I did for eight years, was quite strenuous – there were weeks (years!) of five-day training plus competitions over the weekends. When I graduated from high school I probably just wanted to give myself a break from fencing! Continue reading “Why I like to sweat every now and then”
