Last days of summer… Thankfully the sun has been out and today we even enjoyed a balmy 19 degrees.
The weekend has been full of rugby and yesterday I went to my first ever rugby game in Twickenham, France v Italy. A stadium full of rowdy but jolly rugby fans – a great experience. Although my husband supports England and I secretly Ireland, that evening we were all about ‘Allez les bleus’! 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷 It was a confident win over Italy.
After a proper lie-in this morning (I can’t even remember switching off my alarm!) and coffee in bed, we headed out for a stroll in the sun locally. We regularly pay a visit to Clifton Nurseries, our area’s best kept secret! A nursery hidden on a quiet street near Warwick Avenue stop. Didn’t buy any plants from there this time or even sit down in the Quince Tree Café as we arrived a bit late and it was completely packed. Instead, we browsed plants and took photos. I wonder if they turn these grapes into wine and serve in their café…? Would give us another reason to visit 😉. Now I’m curled up on my sofa and mentally preparing for the new work week. Sunday evenings are unpleasant 😬.
